Kythnos, the beauty of simplicity

Typical Cycladic in style and usually underrated, this charming island offers a truly unique combination of sandy beaches, thermal hot springs and tasty traditional cuisine that you should make a point to experience during with your yacht charter

Called ‘Thermiá’ on account of its thermal springs, Kythnos has all the trademark of the Cyclades island cluster, such as whitewashed houses, narrow cobbled streets, hundreds of chapels, windmills, traditional festivals (panigiria) and hospitable inhabitants. Its unique selling point has not only to do with the impressive total of 65 sandy beaches that you can find here, with the most instragrammable being Kolóna, where a lane of sand connects it with the islet of Ayios Loukas. But also with the emphasis on thermal tourism with a hydrotherapy centre operating in the Loutra area with the two hot springs that are known since antiquity for their therapeutic effectiveness. An authentic island that is loved by Greeks but not well known abroad. Make sure to explore it thoroughly by hiking, stopping at Katafýki cave to admire its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
