Serifos: The chill-out island of the Cyclades
Rightfully boasting one of the most enchanting Hora’s in the Aegean and over 70 sandy beaches, the playground of the mythical hero Perseus makes for a fascinating stop in your sailing itinerary.
Easily accessed by Athens and with the privilege of having a genuinely enchanting Hora, perched upon a hill and crowned by a 15th-century medieval castle, several windmills and the church of Agios Konstantinos, Serifos is both archetypical Cycladic in nature and alternative in aura. It’s unique selling point, besides it’s laid back vibe, are the dozens of unspoilt beaches that await the traveller in every corner and secluded bay. Although increasingly popular in recent years, Serifos remains stubbornly authentic with its most cosmopolitan spot being the port of Livadi where the nightlife reigns supreme.
